Msawenkosi Chubeka, professionally known as MSA, is an Ingoma Award nominee, a seasoned South African music producer, recording artist and DJ who has mastered the Afro House, 3 Step and AmaPiano sounds. MSA’s productions have captivated audiences across the African continent for the past decade having produced for Blaklez, Buffalo Souljah and Ice Prince to mention a few. This Cape Town born but Johannesburg based talent has recently moved from behind the scenes to the forefront, embracing the decks and bringing sounds cooked from Mud House Music Entertainment Studios where he is Head of Production on the label.
MSA’s new sound is deeply rooted in his diverse cultural influences, weaving soulful rhythms over Afro dance beats. Celebrated for his intricate production style, MSA is the brains behind some of South Africa’s hottest tunes currently heard in clubs and radio airwaves. Building towards his highly anticipated Afro House album “This is Afro”, MSA has been dropping infectious 3 Step singles such as “Mina Nawe”, “Amaphupho” and the highly anticipated “Egoli” which is currently trending on South African Social Media platforms and increasingly popular in clubs.
